Participants will explore how postage stamps communicate ideas about identity, place, history, politics, memory, value, commerce and belonging. Through a sustained body of work and the final deliverables: research journal/sketchbook, technique experiments, digital outcomes, resolved body of work, artist statement, captions, portfolio, exhibition proposal and reflective evaluation. Including evidence of learning, milestones, peer critique protocols, inclusive practice, sustainable studio practice, and a final assessment framework, participants will produce a coherent body of work supported by an artist statement, portfolio and exhibition proposal.
