HOW TO BUILD A STAMP ART COLLECTION

Building a Stamp Art collection involves acquiring pieces that evoke emotion, reflect personal coherence, and fit within your financial means. The Stamp Art Gallery offers expert curation, bespoke framing, and payment options to help you assemble a collection over time.

Core Strategies for Collecting Stamp Artworks

Establish a Budget: Determine what you are comfortable spending. The Stamp Art Gallery offers payment reservation options to spread the cost of original art and signed limited editions releases.

Define Your Taste: Explore different subject matters and styles that mean the most to you —such as oil painting style, history focus, and mixed media. Look for common themes or aesthetics that bring coherence to your space.

Authenticity of Artworks: Ensure you are collecting Stamp Artworks that are authenticated by an artists numbered certificate for signed limited editions and if possible digitally certificated.

Stamp Artworks with original stamp material: Stamp Artworks which include in the artwork or are accompanied by the postage stamp linked to the artwork hold a value of authenticity, while the linkage encapsulates the value of the artwork material as a true Stamp Artwork for collectors. Certain postage stamps hold and increase in value due to the demand and scarcity of the stamp material, making some stamp artworks material valuable. Postage stamps can also be readily available making some stamp artworks intrinsic, i.e intrinsic aesthetic value, nice creative expressions or keep sake with little actual material value.

Leverage Expert Guidance: Build a relationship with the Stamp Art Gallery consulting programme. For instance, the consultants at The Stamp Art Gallery have extensive experience in the postage stamp market and can help match your tastes with artworks they offer.

Understand the Artworks: Learn about the difference between unique originals and signed limited editions. Understanding how a piece is crafted adds depth to your appreciation and overall collection.

The ‘Battle of Britain’ project

Four years in the dark room with five artworks in the collection, this specially commissioned artwork collection with a MINT celebration stamp selection. In the Hangar, five artworks created using morse code, this one says ‘Bandits’.

This project is extremely personal and valuable to me to produce. I have used the ‘Battle of Britain’ theme of GB postage stamps in memory of a friend and my sales director who inspired me and gave me a chance, not to get a job but to come back to work.
A gentleman of high regard and leadership, an MBE in his own right and I was glad to be one of his wingmen. Even when wounded there is always a way to fight again. Tino

“Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that you can’t do this or that. That’s nonsense. Make up your mind you’ll never use crutches or a stick, then have a go at everything… never, never let them persuade you that things are too difficult or impossible” Douglas Bader

The Tibet ‘Snow Lion’ Collection

The viewer of Tibetan contemporary art is treated to a powerful new genre as Tibet’s ecstatic, visionary clarity vibrantly contained within traditional forms bursts into the abstract realm of vibrant self-expression artfully resonant with embedded archetypes.

In the Tibet project Tino is creating a series of tantric artworks printed on canvas in a range of spectacular colours to capture the mystical artistic legacy of great yogic teachers with designs taken from the Tibet postage stamps depicting various forms of Snow Lion.

There are 10 exciting artworks to choose from in The Prana’s collection by Tino. The Tibet ‘Snow Lion’ Collection – The Prana’s by Tino are specially printed on Canvas and available in the The Stamp Art Shop.
