Tino is the Worlds First Stamp Artist and creator of the Stamp Art medium. He did this while taking a break from his corporate career at the Hewlett Packard company in 2001. Tino established the movement of Stamp Art using postage stamps as paint as a showcase when returning to his corporate role with the Hewlett Packard Digital Printing Solutions center in Barcelona. Today Tino leads the Artist world in producing contemporary, modern and fine art styles into Artworks using postage stamps as paint for viewers to appreciate the interesting world of postage stamps.

The King of Bohemia Artworks by Tino are created using the original GB 1966 December 1st postage stamp issue, featuring “King Wenceslas” design by 6-year-old Tasveer Shemza from Stratford, chosen from a national children’s competition launched on TV’s Blue Peter. The other winning stamp, which appeared alongside King Wenceslas, was a “Snowman” design by James Berry of London.

Tino has chosen the award winning design of the GB 1966 postage stamp design to capture the history of The King of Bohemia in four design colours of White and Silver, Gold, Deep Red, Crimson and Green and Azure Blue, which are the colours associated with King Wenceslas around the world for their meanings:

White and Silver = Symbol of Purity

Gold = Symbol of Royalty and Divinity

Deep Red, Crimson and Green = Symbol of Passion and Nature

Azure Blue = Symbol of Night

This Artwork Collection is part of a series of Artworks I am pleased to be involved with. The idea that the publically issued postage stamp design for the 1966 GB Christmas postage stamp issue was chosen from a national children’s design competition launched on the BBC children’s television program Blue Peter, and officially submitted to Queen Elizabeth II for Royal Approval is fascinating. I personally remember watching Blue Peter with my friends after school which brings back many happy memories of childhood for me.

The Artworks are available as limited edition prints for enthusiasts and collectors to enjoy and understand the history associated with The King of Bohemia and the award winning stamp design by 6-year-old Tasveer Shemza from Stratford in The Stamp Art Shop https://shop.stampartist.co.uk/pages/latest-artworks
